John Lennon special ordered this navy blue car with an automatic transmission. It has a 6 cylinder 2.3 Litre engine.
Production of the 230 SL commenced in June 1963 and ended on 5 January 1967. Of the 19,831 230 SL’s produced, less than a quarter were sold in the US. Every so often you see these 230’s offered at auction, but it is a rare moment when one of the Beatle’s cars is offered on the market.
