Mecum sets Milestones in Kissimmee

With more than 4000 lots sold in 10 days and over $86 million in sales, Mecum’s 2017 Kissimmee auction was beyond a success.

Just as Disney World transformed Kissimmee into an international mecca, Mecum has transformedKissimmee into a classic car mecca. Mecum’s annual Kissimmee auction boasted nearly 2700 vehicles with 1971 cars selling. This was a 75% sale rate. Including 1260 pieces of Road Art and rare parts Mecum exceeded 4000 total lots sold. Mecum saw a 20% increase in ticket sales over 2016 and Saturday January 14 went on record as Mecum’s busiest day ever online at www.mecum.com with 15 million page views during the 10 days.

Naturally corvettes and muscle cars from the 60’s and 70’s topped the roster.

The complete top 10 sales at the Mecum Kissimmee 2017 auction include (individual prices do not include buyer’s premiums):

  • 1969 Maserati Ghibli 4.9 Spyder (Lot S185) at $920,000
  • 1967 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible (Lot S146.1) at $775,000
  • 2005 Porsche Carrera GT (Lot S157) at $625,000
  • 1963 Chevrolet Impala Z11 ‘Old Reliable IV’ (Lot S103) at $525,000
  • 1957 Chevrolet Corvette Big Brake Airbox (Lot F101) at $450,000
  • 1963 Pontiac Catalina Swiss Cheese (Lot F108) at $430,000
  • 1980 BMW M1 (Lot S176) at $400,000
  • 1963 Chevrolet Impala Z11 (Lot S104) at $340,000
  • 2006 Ford GT Heritage Edition (Lot F156) at $327,500
  • 1963 Chevrolet Corvette Split Window Coupe (Lot S145.1) at $300,000
