Volkswagen to show the ID. Buzz at the 2022 New York Auto Show

  • ID. Buzz will make auto show debut at NYIAS in April
  • Second public appearance of the recently unveiled European-spec ID. Buzz, following SXSW

Herndon, VA — After the successful introduction of the Volkswagen ID. Buzz at South by Southwest last month, the all-electric reimagination of the classic T1 Microbus will head to the 2022 New York International Auto Show (NYIAS). The ID. Buzz is the newest addition to the growing fleet of Volkswagen all-electric vehicles and is anticipated to go on sale in Europe later this year — a long-wheelbase model is planned to debut for the North American market in 2023 and go on sale in 2024.

“Volkswagen is taking the lead in electromobility in a transformative way and the debut of ID. Buzz in New York is another exciting example of our progress,” said Scott Keogh, President and CEO, Volkswagen Group of America. “We have accelerated the transformation to electromobility in the U.S. and we plan to continue leading this charge.”

The in-person return of the auto show will be marked by an all-new Electric Vehicle Test Track, which will occupy the entire first floor of the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in Manhattan, New York. Show visitors will be able to take a ride in a wide range of electric vehicles including the Volkswagen ID.4 EV.

Find the ID. Buzz and ID.4 electric vehicles at the Volkswagen stand in the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in Manhattan during press days from April 13-14, 2022, and public days from April 15-24, 2022. For more on the ID. Buzz, visit media.vw.com.
