Gooding & Company Announces the London Auction at the 2022 Concours of Elegance at Hampton Court Palace

Santa Monica, Calif. (5 November 2021) — Leading global auction house Gooding & Company announced today that it will once again be conducting a sale at the 10th anniversary show of the Concours of Elegance at Hampton Court Palace in 2022, connecting the UK and European markets with the company’s global clientele. Following in the footsteps of its record-setting, inaugural Passion of a Lifetime sale in 2020, and its recently announced long-term sponsorship of the Concours, the company will present an exclusive live auction event on Saturday, 3 September 2022.

Gooding & Company is teaming up with the Concours, led by CEO James Brooks-Ward, to broaden the existing, blooming relationship between the world-renowned auction house and the Concours event. The London Auction will provide enthusiasts and attendees the thrilling opportunity to view and purchase some of the world’s most prized, revered, and valuable concours-quality cars at the spectacular showcase planned for Concours of Elegance over the weekend. Gooding & Company is currently accepting consignments for a limited number of spots in this extraordinary curation of highly sought-after marques and models.

“We could not be more thrilled to return to the Concours of Elegance as the only and official auction house in 2022,” said Gooding & Company President and Founder, David Gooding. “Over these past few years, we’ve enjoyed our relationship with James Brooks-Ward and the Concours team at Hampton Court Palace, and we have found our partnership to not only be a fruitful one, but a mutually beneficial one with new opportunities. We are confident that the continued presence of our auction at the Concours will enrich the weekend’s events.”

James Brooks-Ward, Concours of Elegance CEO, said: “It’s an honour for such a prestigious auction house to be a partner at the Concours of Elegance. For many years David Gooding has been a friend of the Concours, bringing his extensive automotive knowledge and infectious enthusiasm to our Steering Committee. In 2020, Gooding & Company hosted its first auction outside the US at our event, breaking a number of global auction records in the process. Now, as we celebrate our 10th anniversary in 2022 with perhaps the greatest collection of vehicles ever gathered in the UK, we’re thrilled that Gooding & Company will be joining us once more with an auction of spectacular automotive lots perfectly suited to the regal surroundings of Hampton Court Palace.”

As with all of Gooding & Company’s auctions, the London Auction will have online bidding capabilities, allowing everyone around the world to take part in the action. In 2021 alone, the auction house conducted two highly successful online-only sales with viewing in the UK, and attracts buyers across the globe to participate in upcoming opportunities through its digital platform.
