Allen Texas Classic Awards

The inaugural Allen Texas Classic Car Show & Auction presented by Classic BMW of Plano at Allen Event Center was a huge success last weekend. Attendance exceeded expectations. You can never get enough of classic cars and the cars on display did not disappoint.

If you missed the awards, presented by Hagerty, here’s a recap of the winners..

BEST IN SHOW was Steve Sedlecek’s 1969 1/2  A-12 Roadrunner.

This car was restored to perfection in every detail.

In the running for Best of Show was also Jerry and Linda Quam’s 1954 Kaiser Darrin, but due to the overwhelming response from the spectators “The People’s Choice Award” went to this beautiful piece of art. Hands down, the people chose this Kaiser. Look for an upcoming historical story on MyclassicNEWS about this classic.

PEOPLES CHOICE

1954 Kaiser Darrin owned by Jerry & Linda Quam. Won The Peoples Choice award at The Allen Texas Classic.

There were many classic to chose form and the judges had issues with picks due to the high quality of work, history and presentation.

BEST OF CLASS PRE-50’S went to Rick Zampino for his 1933 Willys Coupe. The attention to detail on this Willys was top notch.

BEST OF 50’S CLASS went to David Bartek for his 1959 Jeep FC-150

1959 Jeep FC-150 owned by David Bartek. Won Best 50’s Class in the 1st annual Allen Texas Classic.

 

BEST OF 60’S CLASS was won by the 1965 Chevy C-10 owned by Joe Lanning.

BEST OF 70’S CLASS was won by Bryan Stiles’ 1972 Chevy C-10

BEST OF CUSTOM CLASS was taken by Scott Perkins’ beautifully done 1972 Ford Bronco.

We would like to congratulate all the winners and runners-up and thank all the participants that took their valuable time to show their beautiful classic cars at the 1st annual Allen Texas Classic Car Show & Auction.
